The EF Kentuckiana needs YOUR support for Kentucky HB 404, or our Seizure Safe Signs legislation! Please contact your Senator TODAY to request that they ask Senate Leadership to support HB 404. The full House of Representatives unanimously passed HB 404 in February, and at the beginning of March was assigned to the Senate's Economic Development, Tourism, and Labor Committee, which it now must pass before it can go to the full Senate for a vote.  We ask that you please let your Senator know that displaying seizure first aid signage in the workplace is important to you and your family! You can e-mail your Senator to request their support for HB 404 by clicking the box below, or call 1-800-372-7181 as soon as possible to request that the operator send a message to your Senator urging their support for HB 404.

HB 404 supports seizure first aid educational posters being displayed in the workplace, which will provide Kentucky's employers and employees with accurate information about what seizures look like and how to appropriately respond to an individual who is suffering from a seizure in any Kentucky business. This legislation will ensure the safety of thousands of employees living with epilepsy in Kentucky, as well as anyone with epilepsy visiting a Kentucky business establishment.

Below is an example of the Epilepsy Foundation of Kentuckiana's Seizure Safe Signs that we are requesting Kentucky's Legislature to pass, which would complement our Seizure Smart Schools legislation, also known as the Lyndsey Crunk Act, that was passed by Kentucky's General Assembly, in 2018. Please call today to help us get HB 404 passed, which brings us one step closer to our goal of making Kentucky a Seizure Safe State!
