Now Hiring an Events, Marketing, and Communications Specialist (Full Time)
The Epilepsy Foundation of Kentuckiana is seeking a self-motivated, articulate, and outgoing Events, Marketing, and Communications Specialist to develop, implement and deliver events that build relationships, increase epilepsy awareness and funds, and amplify brand awareness. The ideal candidate must be passionate, engaging, thrives on success, and willing to help the Foundation lead the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy, and to help accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures, and save lives throughout Kentucky and southern Indiana.
Job Description
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or business. At least two years of experience successfully organizing and executing special events, marketing, and communications.
Responsible to: Executive Director
Responsibilities include:
Create and implement marketing of all outreach and awareness campaigns, educational programs, and special events through our social media outlets, email campaigns, and newsletters to the media, level four epilepsy centers and neurology offices, hospitals, schools, community agencies, Chambers of Commerce, etc.
Responsible for the planning, promoting, securing sponsors and auction/raffle items, coordinating, and successfully executing all aspects of special events including, but not limited to the following events: Walk to END EPILEPSY, Golfer’s Gauntlet, and the Expressions of Hope Gala.
Develop and monitor annual and long-range plans and budgets for all special events.
Work with planning committees and help recruit new members.
Develop, maintain, and enhance relationships with media outlets across Kentucky and southern Indiana.
Manage and optimize website and CRM.
Research, prepare, and submit grant applications to request pharmaceutical and corporate sponsorship support for programs and special events.
Maintain records of all events and marketing efforts to fulfill requirements of grants and other funding sources.
Administer all aspects of records management for special events in fundraising database including entering donations, generating reports, and sending thank you letters.
Oversee all third-party events.
Promote and handle corporate matching gifts.
Assume additional duties as designated by the Executive Director.
Requirements:
Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of all documents related to consumers and donors. Follow HIPAA policies and procedures.
Competent and effective verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Must possess a valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and have reliable transportation.
