Kentucky Veterans of the Year Nomination Rules
Rules
1. Make sure your nominee meets the criteria on the nomination form and those listed on the KYVOTY page.
2. Individuals may nominate more then one veteran but please only one nomination per veteran.
3. Previous nominees are eligible to be nominated for future year's Veteran of the Year.
Nomination Time Period
The Kentucky Veterans of the Year accepts nominations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Although the nomination portal on the internet is never closed, nominations received after midnight on September 30th each year will be counted toward the following year's award. Example: Any nomination received between October 1, 2025 and September 30, 2026, is eligible for the 2026 Award; however, a nomination received on October 1, 2026 would not be eligible until 2027. Each nomination automatically receives a date and time stamp when submitted which is used to determine which year that veteran is eligible for the award.
