About the event
Did you know that more than 578,000 African Americans are living with epilepsy or a seizure disorder, and over 25,000 African Americans are diagnosed each year? Epilepsy affects people of all ages, but African American communities experience higher diagnosis rates and face greater challenges with access to care and support. That’s why knowing seizure first aid is so important — seizures can happen without warning, and the right response can keep someone safe, reduce injuries, and save lives. Training will teach you how to recognize different types of seizures, how to keep someone safe during and after a seizure, and when to seek emergency help.
Join us this Black History Month to build stronger, more informed communities—learn lifesaving skills that empower you to act with confidence when it matters most.
